We had another fantastic trip to the national youth gathering in 2018. The event was in Houston and the theme was “This Changes Everything”. The dates were June 27-July 1. You can read more about it at http://www.elca.org/youthgathering Can you believe all the places our youth have been for recent national youth gatherings? In 2015 we were in Detroit. In 2012 we were in New Orleans. Once again we were in New Orleans in 2009. 2006 was the year the group went to the Lone Star state and San Antonio. In 2003 we were in Atlanta. And in 2000 were in St. Louis, the same time the St. Louis Rams were celebrating their National Football League Super Bowl victory.. We have done all kinds of things to raise money. We have had the shaved head challenge. The color your hair red challenge. The group has helped with special music on Sundays and helped lead worship. People have helped with the children’s sermons, Easter Egg hunts and more. Our prayers were with the following people who went to Houston: Jacob Boyd, Jacob Gore, Alex Eanes, Brianna Frazier, Dawn Warrick and Pastor Hout. We pray that this experience will continue to make an impact on their spiritual lives in the coming days and the coming years. Do you like to color?
